Riverbank Festival Meerstad 2025
The Oeverfeest in Meerstad on 30 and 31 August 2025 brings together a unique mix of local and international cuisines. This food, music and entertainment festival, located on the beach of the Woldmeer, is the perfect opportunity to get together with friends and family, discover new dishes and enjoy the convivial atmosphere of Groningen.
The festival takes place on the shore of the Woldmeer, opposite the Jumbo, and can be reached via the Zijlkade. If you come on foot, you can walk through the park to the festival site. By car or bike, you can park in the car park on the Zijlkade or near the Jumbo.
Stroll past food trucks with worldly flavours, taste a local beer or sparkling wine, and enjoy live performances by emerging talent, DJs and cool bands. For children, there is plenty of entertainment with assault courses and bouncy castles (both with a small fee of €2.00), games and reading sessions, while adults relax, toast and catch up.
Oeverfeest is an approachable festival where everyone feels welcome and admission is free. Take a seat on the Oever, leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind and celebrate life in its Meerstads!
