You see it right – it’s that time of year again.
Groningen is gearing up for KEI week, and you want to be there. Whether you’ve just received your high school diploma, are moving on to a new study programme, or are an international student setting foot on Groningen soil for the first time – you don’t want to miss this week. With thousands of new students, this is the week in which you make friends, get to know the city (yes, including where to score the cheapest snacks at 3am), and practice ignoring your alarm clock in the meantime.
What exactly is KEI week?
KEI week is Europe’s biggest introduction week. For six days, you immerse yourself in Groningen’s student life, with a programme that has it all:
- A social programme, for when you want to do more than just drink beer
- Parties with artists to be announced soon
- Eating together (and discovering where NOT to plan your first date)
- Workshops, info on studying, mental health & practical tips
- Social activities, so you don’t walk into that first week of classes completely anonymous
From 1 May, you can register via the ‘Tickets’ button on keiweek.nl.
Are you on the late side? No worries – even during the week itself you can still register, online or at the Day Registration in the Academy Building.
Underage? No problem! You are welcome from the age of 16. You’ll just get another band (and unfortunately: no alcohol).
Why you want to score a ticket now (and why you don’t want to miss this week)
Don’t wait until the last minute – KEI Week is extremely popular and tickets go fast. The earlier you arrive, the more likely you are to end up in a fun KEI group with students who share your vibe.
