Fancy hitting the road by train or have to take the train because of work? Then check your travel plans, because NS employees are laying down work! And that directly impacts your schedule from or to Groningen. As if the renovations at Goningen main station weren’t enough already.
On Tuesday 10 there will be no NS trains across the country due to a strike in central Netherlands. As all national NS train traffic is controlled from Utrecht, this also means for us in Groningen: no NS trains to and from the city that day!
Watch out for the rest of June:
- Tuesday 10 June: Strike in Netherlands.
- Thursday 12 June: Strike in Northwest and East Netherlands.
- 16 and 17 June: There may also be strikes then.
NS is working on adjusted timetables for these days, so check your travel advice shortly before departure via the NS app or at ns.nl.
Good to know: Arriva does not expect any impact from the strikes, so their trains are running as usual for now. Plan your trip smartly and stay informed!
