Legio Museum

If you’re a fan of Lego, you’ll have the time of your life here in Grootegast. Admire impressive Lego artwork from 1949 to the present and delve into the fascinating history of Lego production. The museum also offers a wealth of interesting items, including Lego books, magazines, movies, and games. For the kids, there is the construction corner where they can let their creativity run wild!

Groninger Museum

The Groninger Museum is a special place outside and inside. The museum building is considered the pinnacle of postmodernism. In the museum, you will find four different collections, each of which has something unique to offer. These include a collection on the history of Groningen, a collection of arts and crafts, contemporary fine art, and ancient fine art. The museum is located near Groningen Central Station.

Museum at the A and the collection

This special museum is entirely devoted to Groningers and their stories. Works here tell stories of the rich history of Groningen and its inhabitants. Also known as the old Northern Shipping Museum, Museum aan de A is located in two medieval buildings.

University Museum Groningen

The University Museum Groningen is a special museum dedicated to the theme of man, nature, and science. In this museum, you will find an extensive collection of objects in which nature, culture, and science come together in a fascinating way.

Within the walls of this museum, you can enjoy a diverse collection, including beautiful flowers and seeds, an extensive collection of anatomical and pathological objects, as well as a valuable psychological collection. In addition, the museum offers an ethnographic collection and a unique series of objects related to the life and work of Aletta Jacobs, a prominent figure as the Netherlands’ first female physician.

Storyworld

At the comic book, animation, and game museum Storyworld, you will discover the secrets of great storytellers! You do so through Dutch and international successes in the field of comics, animation and games. From Asterix and Aladdin to The Red Turtle and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Moreover, Storyworld is a place where you can get to work yourself with all the building blocks of comics, animation and games on no less than 14 interactive installations.
